Professor Saqib Mahmud has dedicated his career to clinical excellence, consistently delivering the highest standard of care to his patients, particularly in the field of diabetes, where he stays at the forefront of emerging and innovative treatments.
Since 2005, when he joined his practice as a partner and assumed the role of Diabetes Lead, Professor Mahmud has been deeply committed to transforming diabetes care.
Over the past 15 years, Professor Mahmud has also played a vital role in medical education, actively teaching and mentoring junior doctors and healthcare professionals to raise the standard of care across the NHS. He is a certified diabetes educator and proudly serves as a UK Champion for the Early Action in Diabetes initiative.
